When you think of marketing, where is the first place you see ads on a daily basis? My first thought is on every social media platform. It has become the “norm” for people to be on social media several times a day so companies are getting smart and marketing where they know their main client base is going to be. Marketing is one of the best decisions you could make for your business. Here is why:
Increase Brand Recognition. Obviously if you market you are going to reach more people and more people are going to talk about what you have to offer. This results in an increase in who recognizes your brand. Even if someone has just seen your ad on social media, but never clicked on it, they are more likely to choose your brand when the time comes just because they register it as familiar.
Brand Loyalty. When you market on social media, you open the opportunity for relationships to be built with what you post about. People will identify with your brand if you market things that they can relate to. When you do this, the consumer feels like there is a common ground established and they feel loyal to your brand. Just think about it, would you rather buy a product that you’ve never heard of or buy a product that has advertised regularly about something you need or want?
Conversation Opportunities. When you post ads on social media you open the opportunity to have a conversation with the people you are marketing to. It allows people to comment on your posts and voice their opinion. Regular marketing, like on the television or radio, has never allowed for the instant feedback like social media brings. It’s a great way to get an instant reading of what the public wants.
Increased Traffic. It has been proven that when you post an ad on social media with a link to your website, you will have people click it just to see what you have to offer. I have found myself doing that several times. An ad will pop up on one of my feeds and I like the outfit the person is wearing or the wording catches my eye so I click their link to see what else they have in store for me. It’s a natural thing to do and this will increase the traffic to your website which will follow up with an increase in sales.
