I’m sure we all have day-to-day struggles with keeping focused on our tasks at hand because naturally, life gets in the way sometimes. The best thing to do is hold yourself accountable and remember that if you are not consistent, then your business will not grow.

Something I absolutely have to do when staying focused on my business is keep my calendar up to date with every single meeting or event that I have. This helps me stay organized and I know I won’t have to worry about something popping up last minute because I had forgotten about it. It’s very important to schedule time to focus on your business if you don’t already do so. Think of the areas where you need to improve most, and schedule a couple hours a day to focus on that. Whether it’s researching about that specific area or actually putting your research to the test, the effort will pay off in the end.

When I first started my current business, I had a full time job, full time kids, and a full time husband. Sometimes I felt extremely overwhelmed but what kept my head in my business was my mentor. She had endured the same struggles that I was currently encountering. There were days that I was just drained and didn’t think I could continue any further, but having my mentor there to push me and tell me that I will make it through motivated me to never give up. I had the fire within me but just like everyone else, I had bad days and those were the days where having a mentor paid off.

No matter what your life situation is, I have found out that if you want to do better and provide a better life for yourself and your family, you will find a way. There will always be obstacles in life and they can cause you to lose track of your business  but if you’re smart and take the proper steps to controlling your business, you will succeed.
